Privacy Policy

This is a reading site about free Paris attractions, built as plain pages. There are no accounts, no logins, no comment boxes and no forms. Nothing is sold or paid for here, so there is very little to collect in the first place.

What Gets Collected

The analytics script records visits in aggregate only: which pages were viewed, a rough sense of the country the visit came from, the device type, and which listing links were clicked. That last measurement is the one that matters to us. It answers a single question: did this page help someone choose between a Montmartre walk and a Latin Quarter walk, or between a two-hour history tour and a longer one covering the whole historic centre? Usefulness is the only thing being tested. Nobody is being identified. No names, no email addresses, no payment details and no travel documents are stored, because we never ask for them and have nothing to charge you for.

Cookies And Third-Party Content

Google Analytics drops cookies of its own. Embedded maps and videos behave differently: the content is pulled from the provider's servers as the page renders, and any cookies that provider then sets fall under its privacy policy, not this one.

Every booking link on this site points to a live listing run by a booking platform. When you follow one, that platform places its own cookie so your reservation can be traced back here, which is how the site earns money at no extra cost to you. From that moment you are on the platform's terms, and on the terms of whichever operator you end up walking with, whether that is StellarTours, Walkative! Tours, Wokitour or any of the other guides in the directory. The disclosure page sets out the full arrangement in plain language.

Things We Don't Do

Hosting

The site runs on a third-party host that keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. We never query those logs to identify visitors or connect them to the Paris walks or free museum guides they read.

Your Choices

You have real options here. Browser tracking protection, an ad blocker or a Do Not Track setting stops the analytics script before it loads, and every page still works exactly as intended. Turning JavaScript off entirely is fine too, apart from the mobile menu. If you would rather leave no tracking cookie at all, the disclosure page names every tour operator in the directory, from the historic-centre walks to the Montmartre and Le Marais guides, so you can find them and book with them directly.

Still unsure? Email us, or read the fuller disclosure details.
